Ken Devine is a self-taught artist who was born in Sunderland's harsh East-End. He attended the Royal Alexandra and Albert School in Reigate and later studied for a BEd(Hons) at Nottingham Trent Polytechnic. He never finished the course, opting instead to plan, with his wife Bev, to open their own art gallery and framing workshop in Nottinghamshire.
Although becoming one of the first picture framers in Great Britiain to qualify as a Guild Commended Framer, his heart was still set on becoming a full time artist
Ken Devine was originally drawn to the likes of Van Gogh, Munnings and Seago: but these days gains his inspiration from sunny days and visiting galleries to see modern day masters.
Having exhibited and demonstrated for many years at Patchings Art Festival, Ken became a resident artist there in 2001/2. He is currently preparing to base himself in rural France and is expecting to be in the sun and under the parasol before the end of 2003.
In addition to having many of Ken's limited edition prints available we also have a number of original works.
